This website shows how to do many different experiments that are focused at students of younger ages. They seem very fun and interesting as they teach how to conduct your own experiments.
I chose this website because I liked its simple layout and I thought it was easy to navigate. This would be a great resource if I was planning a unit on weather.

I decided to use this as my Web 2.0 site. I wish I would have found this site earlier on my search. This site is amazing at the amount of subjects and just cool stuff to look at. If I was to do a Math lesson, then there are some fun games for that. There are also: english, science, puzzles, kid stories, arts and crafts, videos, and even experiements. I especially like this site due to the fact that it has a math section.
This is a great site to go to for educational games. It has hundreds of games for all grade levels and all subjects. This site could be used for free time, and the student could choose the subject and game.

WOW! This website fantastic - it's a great way to look at the cell organelles and see what it looks like in 3D. This is something I will use with my 7th graders in science.
This site would be great for use by a science teacher. There are many ideas here for classroom projects and there are also activities to challenge gifted students.
I love space, so I just HAD to include NASA's website. NASA provides a photo of the day, updates on where different spacecraft is, and more. They also have a TV channel that streams various videos about space. It also has a section for educators and a section for teachers. Under the educational tab, there are tools to help find lesson plans, posters, guides, and more. It provides subject/topic specific videos and other info as well.
This is another helpful educational gaming site. It has games for grades K-8. There are math, English, science, and history games on this site. It also has resources that can help students with homework. There are also just simply arcade games that students can play for fun. These games help students because they can have fun while they learn, making them more likely to enjoy learning.
I choose this site because students can learn while they play fun games. I could use this in my future class by letting them just play this game for maybe 20 minutes a day.
HowStuffWorks explains thousands of topics, from engines to lock-picking to ESP, with video and illustrations so you can learn how everything works. The name of this website says it all really- children are so curious and this website provides a video or article on pretty much any question a child has. I would definitely use this for further information on a topic, I might even have some students explore this website in order to "teach" a different topic on how something works.
