The CyberWise website is a resource for teaching young people to use digital media safely and wisely. It includes tips, games, links to many other resources, and even some guidelines for responsible use of digital technology with regard to nature and the outdoors. It's not all free as the site is selling books and live presentations to educators. The sister site CyberCivic features a paid middle school curriculum for digital citizenship, information literacy, and "media literacy for positive participation.".

Students read assignments on this online platform and use its tools to take notes and participate in discussions while they read. The website already includes many texts available for different content areas, including English Language Arts, history, and science, but teachers may also upload additional texts of their own choice, including full copyrighted books, original material, or online articles. Most titles have built-in discussion questions that align with Common Core standards, and students can add their own questions and notations for group view and comment.
