This is the link to Rise of Venice. Pretty different from what we're working on, but interesting nonetheless.

I was going to say that it looks very similar to the Port Royale series, then I read that it's from the same game designers.

They have a family tree!! "With your own family tree you can interact with your family members, send them on missions and watch how the power of your family grows over time." Curse you, Zeitgeist!!

We might want to check this out at some point. Its narrative and trading mechanism might give us some good ideas.
