    From London, the pair continued studying in France, first under André Lhote, then under Albert Gleizes. At this time, Evie Hone concerned herself with portraits, landscapes and (increasingly) abstract pictures. Returning home, Hone and Jellett held a joint exhibition at the Dublin Painters Gallery, largely featuring their new and highly abstract art.

Her most important works are probably the East Window for the Chapel at Eton College, Windsor (1949-1952) and My Four Green Fields, now located in Government Buildings.

    Evie Hone was born on 22nd April 1894 in Clonskeagh, Dublin. Her father was a director of the Bank of Ireland. At age 11 she contracted Polio which left her with a severe disability for the rest of her life. Determined to study art, despite this, she began attending classes in London under Byam Shaw.
