I really like this video - I love the message. Applying it to Tweddle business I immediately gravitate to the values Teamwork (we are one - we sink together / we swim together) and Global Perspectives (be open minded, listen, seek to understand not judge).

Yves Morieux: As work gets more complex, 6 rules to simplify - 7 views

This is an interested and challenging idea. I cannot wait to hear how each of you thinks that we might go about taking advantage of it at Tweddle.

The Simplification Rules: 1. What are other people doing? 2. Remove layers 3. Increase the quantity of power 4. Extend the shadow of the future 5. Increase reciprocity 6. Reward those who cooperate

Maybe we can start by asking ourselves if we're committed to the impact these rules would have on our existing organizational design? Has our current design failed in ways that it may not have, given the alternate approach? I think we may have some aspects of the rules in place now, but the real value is likely realized with a commitment to the entire program, as part of the culture. Interesting how we words it..."the real battle is with ourselves", not with the competitors.
