Target has announced they will host a completely model-less fashion show in Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Instead of human models parading down the catwalk in real clothes, Target will present a live fashion show created with high-definition holograms.

…YouTube isn’t going on strike. So the typical American household will not run out of content any time soon. (Although I will grab a lantern and pitchfork just about the time that the strike threatens to hold up the next plot twist in “Lost.”)

“The big news is that Google has gone generic, offering free software to anyone who wants it under the relaxed terms of an open-source license, which will allow developers to view the source code for that software. This also means there will not be a ‘gPhone,’ or any sort of phone with the Google brand on it,” the Mercury News reported.

Speakers as thin as paper and transparent! Imagine the impact this will have on the audio world when these come to market.

I've had it. I get more than 300 emails a day and my problem isn't spam (Cloudmark Desktop solves that nicely), it's PR people. Lazy flacks send press releases to the Editor in Chief of Wired because they can't be bothered to find out who on my staff, if anyone, might actually be interested in what they're pitching.
