This is interesting, but, with all that I'm doing with trying to do the same thing on my new site (which I'd like you to take a look at sometime, FishMan, for your worldly advice!) www.jackdlogan.com - it's a mess right now, but I can't get access to the Apple servers in the cloud this morning!) I'm not so sure I want to do both at the same time. If you do anything with it, let me know what you think, please!
  •
you mis-spelled diigo as diggo. and how come my website isn't under friends alongside aasemoon's.. oh yeah, I don't have one, right, check, roger
  •
Hey, thanks for the look - Diggo corrected to Diigo, ... THANKS! - I thought Visual Complexity was your site, ... not? I have a failing memory and I remembered in one of our Twine conversations that somehow I got the impression that that's your web site. I love the site, but I'll put it somewhere else, if it's not yours.

nope not I, I am osare dot com and thirdmeta dot com - neither is developed, but it's #13,265 on the list of things to do :-) which reminds me, I need to check on my domain expiries

Window cleaning chemical injected into fast food hamburger meat - 0 views

  • (NaturalNews) If you're in the beef business, what do you do with all the extra cow parts and trimmings that have traditionally been sold off for use in pet food? You scrape them together into a pink mass, inject them with a chemical to kill the e.coli, and sell them to fast food restaurants to make into hamburgers.

NOVA | Killer Subs in Pearl Harbor | The Threat of Midget Subs Today | PBS - 0 views

  • Lessons from Pearl Harbor The United States currently faces enemy forces far different than those we faced on December 7, 1941. But a relatively untold story of the attack on Pearl Harbor holds a warning that is still relevant. Just as the Japanese employed stealthy small submarines to penetrate the harbor and attack the U.S. battle fleet from below, today enemies of the nation could use the modern equivalents of these so-called "midget" submarines to infiltrate our shores.

The Price of Apple MacBook Pros Around the World - Macbook pro prices - Gizmodo - 1 views

  • Brazil is one of my favorite countries. Cool people, great music, heavenly beaches, and caipirinhas. But if you have to buy a Mac, you are screwed. And like this graphic shows, it's the same in other places in the world. Brazil wins, however: The price of one MacBook Pro 17" there buys you two identical models in the US. It's the same with other Apple products, so if you can't live without your Apple fix, you better move to another country. I'd take the caipirinhas and the beaches, thank you very much.
  •
and this is why the cult of mac will never take over the world.

Not Cold Everywhere : CleanTechnica - 1 views

  • There’s a bit of news coverage right now about the cold weather that’s hitting certain parts of the world, but don’t jump into the idea that we’ve entered global cooling. Take a look at the rest of the world and a little historical perspective, as well as the reason why some of us are getting this cold weather in the first place.

You can learn how things are made, explore the human body or that of a life-sized whale, and visit ball parks and theme parks. 100 Incredible And Educational Virtual Tours.

BLDGBLOG: Remnants of the Biosphere - 0 views

  • Remnants of the Biosphere Photographer Noah Sheldon got in touch the other week with a beautiful series of photos documenting the decrepit state of Biosphere 2, a semi-derelict bio-architectural experiment in the Arizona desert. [Image: Biosphere 2, photographed by Noah Sheldon].The largest sealed environment ever created, constructed at a cost of $200 million, and now falling somewhere between David Gissen's idea of subnature—wherein the slow power of vegetative life is unleashed "as a transgressive animated force against buildings"—and a bioclimatically inspired Dubai, Biosphere 2 even included its own one million-gallon artificial sea.
