I'll be completely honest and say that I don't know very much about Uganda. I know that it is a country in Africa, it's near the equator, and soccer is a popular sport there. But when thinking of Uganda I usually associate it with dancing, cultural festivities, distinctive customs, poverty, and even violence. So, like any of us would do, I decided to Google Uganda and find out more about the country. One organization that kept popping up was something called the "Uganda Village Project". This project's three main objectives are providing villages with information on health risks and provide rural health care, to provide safe water sources, and provide orphan support. This program has been in effect since 2003 and seems to be very beneficial in helping Uganda and those living there who are at risk.
