    Thailand is arguably one of the most beautiful Southeast Asian countries one should visit before you die! There are ancient ruins, tropical beaches, royal palaces and ornate temples to name but a few. If you are a first –time visitor, the following are the top 10 things to do in Thailand.


    1.Visit Grand Palace
    Sitting at the heart of Thailand’s capital is the Grand Palace .It is not a single building but a complex of ancient structures which were occupied by the Kings of Siam. It dates back to 17d2 and if you value sacred places, Grand Palace is a must see. 


    2.Tour Phang Nga Bay National park
    Would you like to see the cliffs made of limestone, mangrove forests and rock formations? The Phang Nga Bay National park is the place to be. You will be able to see coral reefs dotting the bay waters and several islands such as:

    Savour the Similan Islands

    5.Speed boat to Phi phi islands
    Imagine being on a super star -island that has even been featured in the movies! Well, get in a speedboat and head to a group of islands sandwiched between Strait of Malacca and Phuket. Anyway, there are mainly two islands which you will find there. The first one is known as Ko phi phi Don and KO phi phi Leh. There are no cars or motor bikes there, just clear water, perfect weather, resorts and plenty of hotels for you to enjoy exotic meals as you savour what the islands have to offer. The Islands are a favourite for travellers the world over.


    6.Visit  Doi Suthep Temple and national park


    If you like the whole feeling of being inside sacred places, the Doi Suthep is just the right place to go. The Thai people have a high regard for this place. The Doi Suthep is actually a mountain atop on which you will find this ancient temple of Wat Phra That in the Chiang Mai province. The teachings on the temple are imparted to all school-going kids in the province. While here, don’t forget to check in at the monastery compound, the vipassana Meditation Center and later, take a tour of the Doi Suthep –Pui national park.


    7.Bask at  Railay beach


    Do you love beaches? Well, the Railay beach is just the right place for you to visit. This is a small peninsula in the middle of Krabi and Ao Nang. There are limestone cliffs, warm Andaman Sea and twisted rock and a lush jungle to boot. The beach is cut off from the mainland and the only way to access it is through a boat ride.     8.Visit Ayutthaya

    9.Check in at the Temple of Dawn at the wat Arun
    Buddhist temples have never ceased to amaze and the wat Arun is one such temple In Bangkok. It is a stunningly beautiful temple, what with a unique design, spires which are colourful and the scenic skyline. Did you know that there are up to 31,200 temples in Thailand alone? Wat Arun is just one of them but you will thoroughly enjoy this historical monument. Although it is still under renovation (was completed in 1656 B.E), this has not stopped tourists from visiting the amazing temple to save its historical treasures.


    10.Visit  Khao Yai National park


    Finally, on the top town things to do in Thailand, do not forget to visit the Khao Yai National Park. This extensive grassland covers an area of 2,000 square kilometres. There are plenty of activities that you can undertake whilst here. Bike trailing and hiking are a must. There are waterfalls and a variety of wildlife to see. You will see elephants, gibbons, hornbills and much other wildlife sheltered here. It might help to know that this park is the oldest and most visited park in Thailand!
