HomeTowne Studios Tampa - Airport is now open in Tampa, Florida. The 124-room hotel will be operated by Dhruv Management, led by President and CEO Vijay Patel, and was developed by Dhruv Development, headed by CEO Amit Patel. "The HomeTowne Studios Tampa - Airport is the first in the brand to feature the new prototype, which sets new standards for updated guestroom aesthetics as well as improved operational efficiency," said Zack Gharib, Red Roof's president. "Guests in central Florida have the opportunity to experience a new kind of economy extended-stay lodging-one that also meets the needs of the franchising community and of which we can all be proud." The hotel is near Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park, Egypt Lake-Leto, the Florida Aquarium, Historic Tampa Gulf Coast Railroad Trestle Bridge and the Museum of Science and Industry. It features a business center and other amenities.

3H GROUP, LED by Hiren Desai as president and CEO, recently acquired the Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore in Tampa, Florida. LBA Hospitality will manage the hotel's operations. The acquisition of the Hyatt Place Tampa Airport is part of a broader strategic initiative for LBA and 3H, which have a strong pipeline of hotels in development, the companies said in a statement. "Our alliance with LBA Hospitality is built on a foundation of excellence and integrity. As we expand our hotel portfolio, collaborations like this enable us to redefine industry standards," said Desai.

RED ROOF UNVEILED its 700th property, the 86-room Red Roof PLUS+ Jamaica in Jamaica, New York. The new-build hotel, owned by Steven Mendel of RiverBrook Hospitality, follows a $20 million investment. The Jamaica property, featuring a business center and fitness facility, opened alongside the new HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Tampa - Airport in Tampa, Florida, developed by Dhruv Development, headed by CEO Amit Patel and operated by Dhruv Management, led by President and CEO Vijay Patel. It is the first property to employ the new HomeTowne Studios prototype that was introduced in 2021. "This is a critically important time for our brand as we evolve to meet changing needs and expectations of our franchisees and guests," said Zack Gharib, Red Roof's president. "There is continued demand for Red Roof, and [this opening] demonstrates our commitment to elevate the brand and create a consistent experience and great value for our guests, our franchisees and our communities."
