Cambria Hotel Waco University Riverfront in Waco, Texas, owned by KB Hotels led by Kiran "Kenny" Bhakta as founder and CEO, is now open. It is the ninth Cambria Hotel in the southwest. The new 4-story, 130-room property joins Cambria's Austin Downtown, Austin Uptown, Austin Airport, Houston Downtown, McAllen, Plano, Richardson and Southlake, Choice said in a statement. KB Hotels, led by Kiran "Kenny" Bhakta, a hotel development company in central Texas, is spearheading the development of this hotel. "With a rich history anchored by academia and agriculture, Texas is quickly becoming a hub for vacationers and business travelers alike," said Indy Adenaw, Choice's senior vice president and general manager for upscale. "We look forward to expanding Cambria's unique offerings and top-notch amenities to even more guests in the Lone Star State with the opening of the new Cambria Hotel Waco University Riverfront."

The Riverfront Hotel, SureStay Collection by Best Western is now open in Richland, Washington. The hotel is owned by Jitesh Desai. The 136-room hotel is near Howard Amon Park and outdoor event space John Damn Plaza. Also nearby are J. Bookwalter Winery and Tagaris Winery, Allied Arts-Gallery at the Park, REACH Museum and Manhattan Project B Reactor Tours. "Jitesh Desai is an established hotelier whose experience and commitment to the brand will undoubtedly deliver on the SureStay service promise at this impressive property," said Josh Miehl, regional manager of SureStay Hotel Group.

The Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront is open in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was developed by GR Hospitality of Jenison, Michigan. The 162-room hotel overlooks the Grand River and is near the DeltaPlex Arena and Conference Center and the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Hotel amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, its onsite restaurant River Rock Restaurant & Lounge and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 180 guests. "As a new era of travel is on the horizon, our hotel is perfectly positioned to provide all our guests a great economic option when looking for an upscale stay," said Suresh Patel, CHO and director of operations at GR Hospitality.

NEWBOND HOLDINGS HAS acquired Aloft Tampa Downtown in Tampa, Florida, marking its third downtown riverfront hotel investment in the city in 24 months. This takes the company's total to more than 700 hotel rooms and more than 800 ft. of frontage along the Hillsborough River, Newbond said in a statement. Niel Luthra is the founding partner of New York-based Newbond Holdings. The 130-key hotel, located on the Riverwalk, provides both indoor and outdoor amenities, featuring a waterfront pool, gym, corporate meeting and event spaces, as well as a bar and lounge, the statement added. Newbond is planning a comprehensive hotel renovation to include all guestrooms, public areas and the pool deck. "Our third hotel investment in downtown Tampa since 2021 demonstrates our conviction in the long-term Tampa growth story," said Neil Luthra, founding partner of Newbond. "Tampa's robust job and population growth; flourishing convention and tourism business; and continued institutional investment have created one of the strongest real estate and hospitality markets in the country."
