Go Air, which started its services in 2005, is an Indian low-cost carrier (LCC) that was launched with the objective of offering airline tickets at marginal fares. A Mumbai-based carrier, it is part of the Wadia Group with its hubs at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai.

With the festive season around the corner, the airfare is likely to soar high, especially for flights to and from Mumbai. A few days back, there were speculations that flight bookings might be thin this season owing to the recent rupee downfall, and many airlines were mulling over the idea of not adding up any new flights for the winters, which was done in previous years. Go Air is planning to start its services from the end of October, is likely to add the largest number of flights for the winter schedule in India, especially from Mumbai.

There is good news for people who often book flight tickets from the eastern region of India. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has recently announced that Biju Patnaik Airport, located in Bhubaneswar, has been granted international status.
