WordPress is a blog publishing system (or a Weblog software) written in PHP and is backed by a MySQL database. It is a top-of-the line publishing platform emphasizing on advanced utility, web standards as well as aesthetics.

I have a MySQL database already installed on godaddy. I have the username and password and put it in the field.

I was able to import the mysql files and upload the joomla files. i manually changed the configuration.php file with my new database info.

I just wanted to share this with anyone who may be trying to do this on their GoDaddy website. I've recently implemented ASP.NET Membership and Roles on one of my GoDaddy hosted websites using one of the free MySql databases that came with my hosting account.

There is little CMS/database scripting, support or training being produced for this version.

I need to move my magento local installation to a live server but I can't do a clean install on the live server with the exact same database settings as my local server.
