Test your IPv6. - 8 views

  •
How this test works: Your browser will be instructed to reach a series of URLs. The combination of successes and failures tells a story about how ready you are for when publishers start offering their web sites on IPv6. Q: What is World IPv6 Day? This is a trial period where a number of major web sites will provide their content on both IPv4 and IPv6. This is being led by the Internet Society (ISOC). more information is posted on their World IPv6 Day page. World IPv6 day, scheduled for 8 June 2011, is a global-scale test flight of IPv6 sponsored by the Internet Society. On World IPv6 Day, major web companies and other industry players will come together to enable IPv6 on their main websites for 24 hours. The goal is to motivate organizations across the industry -- Internet service providers, hardware makers, operating system vendors and web companies -- to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 address space runs out. Click here to see the start time in your local area. Why is World IPv6 Day necessary? The address space used by the current version of the Internet protocol, IPv4, is expected to run out in 2011. Without action, we risk increased costs and limited functionality online for Internet users everywhere. The only long-term solution to this problem is adoption of IPv6, which provides over 4 billion times more space. IPv6 is used extensively in many large networks, but it has never been enabled at a global scale. World IPv6 Day will help industry players work together to support the new protocol on an accelerated timeline. With major web companies committing to enable IPv6 on their main websites, there are strong incentives for other industry players to ensure their systems are prepared for the transition.

Hola.org/ is building an overlay network which will change the way the Internet works - for the first time in 40 years. Our ultimate goal is to make the Internet 10x faster! Hola accelerates HTTP using a combination of patented technologies - caching, multiple sources, compression, P2P protocols and other technologies. Hola also creates a special local cache with the Hola client (your Android phone or Windows PC) so when you reload content (like a YouTube movie) it doesn't come from the web again, but from the local Hola cache.

Hola accelerates the web using a combination of technologies - caching, multiple sources, compression, P2P protocols and more. For initial Hola users, the Internet will be fast, but as more people install Hola, the web will get even faster. Another nice side effect of Hola is that it provides various levels of anonymity, that will enable you to view any content from anywhere...

Interesting: The goal of this site is simple, we want to see what happens when you remove the branding from search engines. How differently will you perceive the results? then compare and vote

Quiver Quantitative - 4 views

  •
Quiver scrapes alternative stock data from across the internet and aggregates it in an free, easy-to-use web dashboard. Quiver allows retail investors to tap into the power of big data, and have access to actionable, easy to interpret data that hasn't already been dissected by Wall Street. Over the past decade, the use of alternative data has become increasingly common among professional money managers. This data allows these investors to tap into new and unique data sources when making investment decisions. However, alternative data is typically priced for institutional clients, and is not widely available to retail investors. Quiver was founded by two college students in the February of 2020, with the goal of bridging this information gap between Wall Street and non-professional investors.
