I thought it was very interesting when Wilson discussed the fact that when you are faced with a decision, you start to use logic rather than go with your gut which often times has the best radar. The group of people that chose their poster based on instinct liked what they picked a lot more than those who needed to describe why they liked something first.
Ok Boggers- don't be afraid to brainstorm more, and by next class you should have the main points worked out for the storyboard and know what style of film you'd like to do. Check out those new tools :)
Im thinking for the Dougar effect we could show people on American Idol singing when they are actually terrible because the Dougar effect is causing them to think that they are really good. Also with Wilsons idea we could ask people to show us how they tie their shoes and see how many people cant do it because its such a natural thing to do that when you think about how you do it you forget how to.
Oh and I was also thinking that for the introspection one we could maybe reach out to the audience by making a video with voice overs and show two pictures or something that they have to choose and explain why they like it. Basically replicating the first three paragraphs that are in the reading we received.
We should really decide together whether or not we want to actually remake the experiment or just talk about it. And we need to decide if we want to in the video or not.
@momi - if you'd like to you can make 2 videos...and perhaps even link them together using that annotation tool in YouTube (project blog post has tutorial). I like the idea of reaching out to the audience to make it more interactive. I think you guys will be productive today :)
