Cyber Safety Thought Information Literacy Teaching cyber safety in school is a tremendous challenge. Try as we may, lecturing to students who know more about technology than the teacher is not going to make our children cyber safe. On top of that, adding additional curriculum to an already overburdened teacher's job is problematic at best.

Write a character sketch about somebody you know well. Objectives Students will use a graphic organizer to help them discuss a model character sketch and organize/write one of their own. write an interesting sketch that includes the proper elements of a character sketch.

We know that kids can remember songs and actions to songs that we haven't done for months, or even weeks! Why not use this to help them learn letters and sounds!? Our first step of action was to associate a letter/beginning sound with a picture.

Students will Learn how descriptive words make stories clearer and more interesting. Write stories using descriptive words Have your students close their eyes and listen as you describe a familiar object in the classroom. Ask students to raise their hands if they think they know what the object is.

Since writing is a huge part of the common core this would be helpful to get those students writing!
