Kindergarten Kiosk: Learning To Read is Not a Race - 0 views

  •
I've seen a lot of hubbub lately touting the teaching of reading at an increasingly early age. First, there was a commercial for a program claiming it could teach your baby to read. Then, I saw an ad for a school whose biggest selling point (according to the ad) was that their school can have your child reading before kindergarten.

Writing Terms Paper Can Be Interesting If You Have The Best Experts - 0 views

  •
Terms paper is very important for the students as it has a certain percentage of marks that would be added to their final exams and therefore students are very conscious when that takes experts advice in completing their assignment.

Cyber Safety Thought Information Literacy Teaching cyber safety in school is a tremendous challenge. Try as we may, lecturing to students who know more about technology than the teacher is not going to make our children cyber safe. On top of that, adding additional curriculum to an already overburdened teacher's job is problematic at best.

Teaching the Civil War through Techology - 0 views

  •
I am going to offer a unit on the Civil War and its impact on World History in my World History class (mostly 10th graders) for the first time. They quit teaching about the Civil War in US History that students take as juniors in our district, and I think they need more than what they got in 7th grade. Just saying! I think this blog I added to my RSS will be a great help.

One of my favorite sites is DisccoveryEducation.com that I use daily in the classroom. Discovery Education provides a wealth of classroom resources for all grade levels on various subject areas. I use this website daily in high school when teaching Reading, Science, and U.S. History classes.
