I found this article very informative, it's a pity that the research which was done in 40 different countries all over the world did not include South Africa.

So even if South Africa was not included, what can be learnt? What are the underlying principles? What methods can be useful?

Not quite sure that I agree with the banning of paper-based books. To ban something is quite harsh! I love my kindle, but it sure as hell ain't going to the beach or in the pool with me - a good old fashioned book will still be my choice in those instances. I think that a combination of the two is still preferable. I strongly advocate freedom of choice. Although I understand Prensky's arguements, I cannot agree with them 100%
