I thought this blog had a rather clear way to use blogging i the classroom to help students improve their research and writing skills

This Google Apps Consent Form is from a school district in California. It outlines how students will use Google Apps in their classroom and it also has a form for the student and parent to sign. It is important to think about this before having your students set up accounts.

I like this. I think it clearly spells out proper usage of the Google Apps at school. I think it covers the topic well and is a good thing to use if one was going to use Google Apps at their school.

Just think of a situation where you are on a vacation, travelling to a friends place and your boss calls you to create one urgent presentation. Later you realize that, your friend does not have office installed on his machine. Now when creating a presentation is seriosly a challenge for you, thats where an online office tools comes handy.

I wish I had just a few more days before students return. It will be interesting to see how familiar they are with diigo.

On this blog a fourth grade classroom teacher shares how she and another teacher (that she connected with via twitter) collaborated to use Skype to connect and complete a Mystery State Project. I think that this is a neat idea and that my fourth grade teachers would be interested in trying this.

I teach all levels at the high school and I can see this as an asset for my classes.

1. School Tube is a website dedicated to the sharing of videos created by students and teachers. School Tube allows teachers and schools to create their own channels for sharing their students' works. School Tube also provides excellent how-to resources, copyright-friendly media, and lesson plans for using video in the classroom.

This post is not about technology. It's about how we (humankind) have been wiring our brains to think about technology. We have quite a hole to climb out of.
