www.office.com/setup Blogs: Good Morning America's "Boosting Your Business" segment, sponsored by Microsoft, provides entrepreneurs and small businesses with simple advice and tools to help them grow. On March 15, Good Morning America brought in Maxie McCoy, a career expert, to give tips and tricks to help businesses across the country be more productive and collaborative. To demonstrate some of these tips, Maxie visited WeWork, the hugely successful shared-office space startup, and talked about how the WeWork Creator Awards team can work together in a new way using Microsoft Teams, a new chat-based workspace in Office 365. Maxie gave the Creator Awards team advice on aligning their vision, delegating responsibility and communicating clearly within team workspaces. She showed them how Microsoft Teams creates a secure hub for teamwork, helping them communicate and collaborate more effectively. Unique vision and unquestionable talent has made the WeWork team into what it is today. Microsoft Teams gives them a new way to work together and continue to grow. Watch the segment now: Check out Microsoft Teams to see how your team can be more productive and collaborative as well. Download and read "The Ultimate Guide to Chat-Based Tools."

A chart is a tool you can use to communicate data graphically. Including a chart in a presentation allows your audience to see the meaning behind the numbers, which makes it easy to visualize comparisons and trends. Optional: Download our practice presentation for this lesson. Watch the video below to learn more about using charts in PowerPoint. TYPES OF CHARTS PowerPoint has several types of charts, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your data. Fueling creativity with Office 365 - www.office.com/setup - 0 views

We're all creators-each in our own way. I'm part of an organization that advocates for those who are creatively talented or gifted: artists, creators, and entrepreneurs. But I've found that we all bring creativity to our jobs in some form or another. I know that I can approach problems in a more creative way and find innovative solutions when I have the right tools and information within easy reach. At Copyright Alliance, we're a small team that serves more than 40 institutional members and thousands of artists around the country. For each of us, the ability to find and share files while on the go is a huge priority, especially because we tend to fill in for each other on different projects at a moment's notice. Balancing tasks like writing opinion pieces for news publications, giving talks at conferences, and meeting with members-all in the same day-is the norm. In the past, technology issues sometimes sapped my creative energy, making it difficult to stay focused on the task in front of me. Instead, I would have to scramble to find a document or a presentation that I needed. We had a file server at the office and I would routinely download all the documents I thought I would need before dashing off to the next engagement. This not only took extra time out of my day, it also wasn't a foolproof system. There were times when I just couldn't access the information I needed while out in the field. With Microsoft Office 365, all that has changed. Now that we have an online suite of tools for creating documents and managing them in a systematic way, we can all work together more fluidly. The menus and navigation in Microsoft SharePoint Online are simple to use, and it's reassuring to see exactly when a document was last updated. We're looking forward to using more of the tools in Office 365, including Microsoft Lync Online to make calls and hold meetings-all in a couple of clicks. I hardly think about the technology we use anymore. The transition to

roject Online and Excel Web App: Cloud data improves reporting - www.office.com/setup - 0 views

  •
Mike McLean is a Senior Program Manager on the Microsoft Project team. Along with the general availability of Project Online in Office 365, new scenarios have been enabled for Project Online reporting. We introduced the Project Online OData feed to help you access your data using Excel 2013. During Public Preview, you may have noticed that any attempt to refresh the Excel workbooks in Office 365 generated errors. Now you can refresh Excel workbooks in Excel Web App that consume Project Online OData feeds. When Excel workbooks are refreshed in Office 365, the BI Azure Service retrieves updated data from Project Online and recalculates the internal workbook model. If the workbook has data connections pointing to Project Online OData feeds, the BI Azure Service must have permission to the SharePoint Online tenant to retrieve that data. These instructions document how to grant the BI Azure Service access to your SharePoint Online tenant. Log on to Project Online. Add the following to the end of your Project Web App URL: /_layouts/15/appinv.aspxwww.office.com/setup For example, if your Project Web App URL is http://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa, type this URL in the address bar of your browser: http://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/_layouts/15/appinv.aspx www.office.com/setup In the App ID field, copy and paste 00000009-0000-0000-c000-000000000000, and then click Lookup. (Note: In the string of digits in Step 3, there are 7 zeroes before the 9, and the last set of zeros is 12 zeroes in a row.)www.office.com/setup In the Permission Request XML field, copy and paste the following XML:
