I find this passage interesting since it says the goal of these Sim games are to create a successful community or ecosystem or other similar situation. In my experience, these Sim games are a chance to bend and twist a virtual reality in a way that actual reality cannot. It's all about cheating and manipulating and creating a more entertaining world than the real one we live in. To say that these games have a more noble purpose than that seems ludicrous to me.
