This blog is all about hands-on activities. Healy said in her book that it is important to pair online acitivity with hands-on acitivties. This blog provides many examples (pictures, videos, etc.) of what these students are doing in their classroom. I thought that this was interesting to hunt around on becuase there is SO much information.
This is like YouTube, but for teachers. Most of the content is safe for the schools and is beneficial because it is what other teachers around the world are doing. This collaborative measure is going to increase communication among teachers both nation and world wide. This web 2.0 tool is one of the better ones I have seen because it is what teachers are experiencing in their classrooms.
This is a great online website that offers some great articles. ERIC is always being updated so it is easy for students and others to find excellent resources about a given topic. Also, this website allows you to narrow your search to something like Peer Reviewed articles.
This is a wiki created titled "Welcome to the Future". It is all about technology in education and how it is the new era. It also offers a lot of different types of technology including cell phones (which is a huge technology in today's class). This was a great find.
Here is another blog about how to incorporate technologies into education. There are tabs at the top in which you can click on. I roamed around for a bit and found this pretty cool! :)
This, I feel, is the most collaborative tool you can use in a classroom. Skype allows people to connect all over the world, so you can collaborate with so many different people. This is also a free tool, which is a plus.
I think that Skype is the best Web 2.0 item we have that is free. It allows us to collaboratively work with students around the world and that is what is so great about Skype.
