The Diigo Discussion Board is a great software for collaborative learning in which the students of the class can share ideas about a particular topic in order to further understand the knowledge of that topic. It also provides for a source of stimulation of learning and ideas in which students can experience a different point of view of a particular topic in which they may not have experienced themselves. As students peruse the Diigo Discussion Board they are allowed to share in the multifaceted construction of a particular topic thus extending their own knowledge.
