Great example of the power of photos / images to tell a story.

Schooltoons was a research project, which offered animation activities to schools in Norfolk. It brought together artists in residence and teachers to explore the imapct of animation on pupils' education.

This site tells about a festival held in San Francisco, CA. The last year mentioned that it was held was 2005. So even though its not up-to-date, I still think its a good example for the interesting concept.
