After updating the Motorola's Update Services app for Moto G (1st Gen.) via OTA two days back, Motorola has now rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop software OTA update for the device. To download the software update owners of the 1st Generation Moto G must first update the Update Services app that downloads system updates. Those who have not updated the app until now can go to the Google Play Store and install it.

Google announced today it will host the first Ara Developers' Conference this April. The series of three conferences will show developers what they will be able to do with the company's modular phone project. This is the first word of Project Ara's future since Google announced plans to sell off Motorola for $2.91 billion to Lenovo in January.

The new Motorola has adopted a strategy to be one of the first manufacturers to update its smartphones to the latest versions of Google's Android. The Moto G Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is a prime example.
