    Objectives:
    * Students will investigate the key term and analyze information in order to find answers to the crossword clues.
    * Then students will apply the historical term to a modern day puzzle by creating a unique crossword puzzle using the words and clues given.


    Clues:
    * Means "the three roads" (7 letters)
    * Means "the four roads" (10 letters)
    * Period in which liberal truths design (8 letters)
    * Number of liberal truths (5 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with how to speak and write a language (7 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with debates between people (8 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with persuading people through language (8 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with numbers (10 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with size, shape, and position of things (8 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with outer space (9 letters)
    * Liberal truth concerned with sound (5 letters)


    Procedure:
    For this Key Terms assignment students will take the clues provided and find the appropriate words for each blank using Internet sources. Once students have found the correct answers for each clue, they will create their own crossword puzzle fitting the words together. This repeated work with the words and clues will help students learn and remember facts about the key term.


    Grading:
    5 points Correctly identified terms with an effective crossword puzzle and a clear understanding of the term.
    4 points One error in identified terms with an otherwise effective crossword puzzle and a clear understanding of the term.
    3 points At least two errors with a partially completed crossword puzzle and partial understanding of the term.
    2 points At least five errors with a partially completed crossword and poor understanding of the term.
    1 point Five or more errors with an uncompleted crossword and barely any or no understanding of the term.
