"Since 1987, the Media Research Center has been the nation's premier media watchdog. We don't endorse politicians and we don't lobby for legislation. MRC's sole mission is to expose and neutralize the propaganda arm of the Left: the national news media. This makes the MRC's work unique within the conservative movement"
Accuracy In Media is a non-profit, grassroots citizens watchdog of the news media that critiques botched and bungled news stories and sets the record straight on important issues that have received slanted coverage.
Anjaly suggested: "One of the big advantages of the Biz/ed 'In the News' archive is that it is written for students and so uses appropriate terminology."
Anjaly's suggestion from Module 4 "The blog from tutor2u is an excellent resource to get your students into the habit of reading news articles. Although they cannot use these articles for their commentaries, signing up for the digest, which is delivered three or four times a week, and reading the articles, helps them understand what makes a good article, as well as keeping them informed about weekly events. What is more you can normally find the original source of these articles, which students can use as extracts if they are not too long."
Considering alternative measures of growth/ development
