A good example of a social studies video project from Brittany. The music gets too loud and distracting at one point, but if the audio was improved, I like how she gave a good analysis of a social studies topic and then showed good examples.
This website is an incredible (free!) resource for English teachers. It has ideas, articles, networking for nearly any subject in English you could dream of! It was recommended to me by one of my English Teaching professors.
Both wikis and blogs provide teachers with a a dynamic process for integrating Web 2.0 technology in their science and math classes. These two types of online tools offer students a more engaging process for learning.
Both are relatively easy tools which do not require teachers or students to learn any special program tools or computer skills. Their uses and applications are only limited by the vision and purpose for helping students learn.
Guess how many social networks there are? (such as Facebook, MySpace, Goodreads, etc.). 350+ such technologies! This is an interesting list of as many of them as we know about, organized by subjects. There are some interesting student ones, geared more for university students.
This is a federal web page that lists some habits in their children parents (and teachers!) need to watch out for that could signal harmful Internet usage.
Although these aren't the greatest or most entertaining resources, there are different videos that could be useful to a teacher that include training on how to use the technology that is available to them in their school.
This site gives advice on using Nintendo Wii to teach different physical fitness curriculum. Not helpful for my content area, but very interesting way to use this technology in an educational way.
