Now I am at the stage of collecting student writing and images - ie - piloting the resources to create LEAD SCHOOLs writing on some blogs [= awesome student writing that later bloggers will emulate].
Would anyone like to work with a small group of Upper Primary or Lower Secondary [Stage 3 and 4] students on one of the projects below? Maybe in an enthusiastic writers lunchtime club? They might like to know it's a "world first"/"premiere" that they are contributing to?
I would be SO GRATEFUL - I need some Term 4 trialling before I launch the resources properly with workshops in 2013. My phone number is 0421997561 if you are able to assist and would like more info.

Dear everyone - Here are some downloadable teaching resources of mine to check out. The top two websites use image cards to support writing - please share these websites with fellow teacher librarians and English teachers.
Fiction with a Twist is a 5 week blog, hosted by the School Libraries and Information Literacy Unit with a full set of teaching resources at http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/raps/twist12/teachingideas.htm. The blog is aimed at Stage 3 and 4 students and runs from Week 3, October 22, up to Week 7, November 23 at http://rapblog13.edublogs.org/. The author on the blog will be Deb Abela who is very warm and encouraging to students about their writing. Students write short pieces, 1-2 paragraphs long, including a character sketch, a character in action and a short dialogue. Could you please take the time to spread the word to fellow teacher librarians and to English teachers. This is a perfect opportunity to run an extension writing activity for GAT students, with a real audience. Please ring me on 0421997561 if you wish to know more or contact me on my usual email at elizabeth.chase@det.nsw.edu.au, since I rarely check my gmail.
Free, downloadable resources for using Web 2.0 tools to create multimedia texts. Research skills, visual literacy and literature response focus. There are lesson plans, worksheets and a teachers guide to explain the resource.
