SOME of the earliest sites of human habitation in Ireland have been uncovered in Meath, according to The Chronicle. The sites have been uncovered by a team of 200 archaeologists who are checking out the route for the new Northern Motorway in advance of the road building.Some of what has been recovered pre-dates Knowth and Newgrange, with others dating back to the Bronze, Iron and early Christian ages.
