    Prof Neil Mercer spoke at the NIE conference in Singapore (Jun 2013) Inspiring talk - with quite a simple message: (paraphrasing) Humans are social beings - brains have evolved to work well with others. However, group work has to be well planned and involve 'exploratory talk' if it is going to make a difference.

    Hmmm, yes, very interesting. I also see increasing evidence that the brain isn't the all controlling factor we have assumed it to be ... where is the mind? The heart certainly plays a far more important role in our operations than we thought.
