  Do you think this will follow a similar path to that of Facebook buying Instagram? Does this make either company more prominent?

  I'm hoping that contrary to what Gibson is predicting, Tumblr continues to run, untouched by Yahoo. People thought Instagram was going to change drastically (for the worse) when it was purchased by Facebook, but all it did was make sharing photos to your friends easier. I'm hoping Yahoo purchased Tumblr to try to appeal to a younger crowd, not completely re-work and change it.
