This article addresses the violence between the M23 and the Congolese army. It talks about how their is a "new wave of fighting" that the rebels are now using. The M23 rebels used grenades as a way of war. They took over Goma, and Uganda requested for the rebels to remove themselves from Goma, but instead they entered neighboring towns and cities and caused riots inside of them. Some residents of Goma thought that the rebels were going on an "assassination campaign" when they left.
