This is a website that one of my teachers showed me a couple of semesters ago when I was taking a math class. I love this website it is a great way to get kids invovled. The reason I thought of this website when talking about diversity is because I talked to a teacher while doing my student teaching said that she used this website when she has students that either because of their developmental level or language barrier could understand math from this website better than her trying to explain it. They were able to use the manipulatives and rearrange them until they were able to figure it out for themselves. I think this is a great website when teaching math.
When i worked in Kindergarten sometimes all you had to do to get the kids excited was call it a game. We would have centers that were 'down' time and some of them involved games on the computer. This helped them cool down, work together and also learn something at the same time. This was a great reward for kids because they love playing on the computer. Some people do not like games like this for kids but I do think they have thier place in education, if not abused.
This website has several interesting tips for teacheres when trying to plan intruction for their class. There are several different tabs to the right that will take you to different areas of concern. I have looked over the website and found some very interesting facts and information that I never knew. I feel that this website has some very good information for teachers in regaurds to diversity, learning styles, implications, etc.
