I used to be born at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix. It's strange to get an individual who can be an Arizona local today. Many people you meet are transplants from other States. Though I've lived elsewhere, Arizona is, and always will be home for me.

Growing up, my family moved around Arizona. My dad worked structure, and we went, where there clearly was work. Page, Miami, world, Phoenix, Laveen, Glendale, Peoria and Waddell are a few of the cities we lived in.

My parents settled in Waddell and that's where I completed High School. Dysart may be the school district I visited. After I married and moved away, life changed. We were moved by my husband to Upstate New York. While it is lovely there, it was never home.

I missed the wide-open places. The "laid back" feeling of the West was lacking. The Arizona sky at sundown can't be repeated somewhere else. No other sunsets evaluate. These are a few memories I took with me. Fundamentally I got home.

I currently live in Litchfield Park. The old city started in 1916 for Goodyear Tire personnel. Growing up in this area, Litchfield Park always appeared as a retreat in the wilderness. All over the town were cotton, rose and vegetable fields. An all day event to go to the grocery store was. Now I've the enjoyment of surviving in that oasis.

The lushness of the landscaping in the town contributes to the impression of oasis. The citrus trees mingle with the more ecologically friendly native desert plants. The biking and walking paths produce a system all over the city. Often I stop and speak with my neighbors as we're out for a morning stroll. You can find playgrounds for the youngsters and the lake teems with geese, geese and other water fowl. The youngsters holds a fishing line or feed the ducks.

Often throughout the year, the town holds Crafts and Arts festivals. For one more viewpoint, please check out: Glendale homes. It is a exciting time for the entire community. Artists from across the State bring their designs to generally share with us. The town, together with The Wigwam, hosts what's called Arts in the Park. It is a time of food, music and other entertainment that's for your community. Each July 4th celebration is fairly an event. With craft stands, games for the youngsters, food and an excellent fireworks show, a good time may be had by everybody else.

The sensation of town is among safety and community. There aren't many cities left where you can walk the streets at night and feel safe. Enjoying each the others company and knowing your neighbors is a wonderful thing.

Even though the town has grown and new subdivisions close by have been built by developers, Litchfield Park has maintained that small town feeling of community. I am pleased to become a citizen of Litchfield Park and aspire to always live here.
