Crude Oil prices surged by 9 percent on Monday, after that the foreign market is witnessing once again dominated the fall today. On Tuesday, NYMEX crude oil fell by nearly 3 percent and trading down to $ 47.50 a barrel. On Monday, crude oil in the domestic market rose by Rs 225 and closed at Rs 3,230. Crude oil futures were trading lower during early morning trade in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators continued to cut risky bets in the energy commodity amidst heightened fears over a worsening supply glut in the global oil market. US crude supplies climbed for the seventh week on the trot, up by 4.22 million barrels last week, the EIA said, adding that supplies of the fuel in the world's biggest oil consumer

Today, Crude oil futures plunged by 3 per-cent in the native market on Friday as investors & speculators cut risky bets in the energy commodity which sank to the lowest level in 11 weeks in the overseas market as concerns over a world wide supply glut worsened.

Crude oil trading range for the day is 2072-2308.Crude oil prices recovered from lows after data showed that oil supplies in the U.S. rose less than feared last week.

Crude oil futures slided over 1 per-cent in the native market on Wednesday as investors & speculators exited positions in the energy commodity tracking a bearish trend in the overseas market as an eighth straight rise in US crude oil stockpiles last week aggravated fears over a global supply glut.

Crude oil futures tanked around 4 per-cent in the native market on Friday last week as investors and speculators resorted to heavy selling after the OPEC, the cartel that accounts for around 40 per-cent of world wide crude supplies, refused to curb production to alleviate a supply glut.

Crude oil prices expanded gains on Friday, as the dollar slumped as compared to the euro, although market focus is fixed on an OPEC meeting in Vienna where the group is hope to reiterate its high output strategy.

The inventory data by EIA showed positive cues if we track the expectations set in by the broader market participants. However, backed by the very strong API stocks report early Wednesday markets in intraday started building and ultra positive report from the DoE as well. As per the DoE refinery operations went up by 1.7% for last week showing extra crude input by the refineries seeing upcoming summer driving seasons.

The edible oil industry has endorsed the govt to increase the import duty on both crude & refined oil, along with setting aside a portion of the revenue earned to set up an Oilseeds Development Fund to increase native production.

Today's news : Asian equities delivered some last-minute Christmas cheer, continuing to rally on the last full trading day of the week before the holiday. Oil prices recovery boosted energy stocks in the areas, with US crude nearly 1 per-cent high in Asia trading following a 4 per-cent rally overnight.
