This article reviews the literature on treating people who have had a stroke. An extensive search in MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, AMED, and SCISEARCH was performed. This review identified small but significant effect sizes for the efficacy of comprehensive OT on primary ADL, extended ADL, and social participation. However, more research will need to be completed on this topic. This article is a nice overview to see what is being used on patients who have encountered a stroke and how successful it has been.

This article conducted a study surveying Indiana's public school -based occupational therapists and school representatives. The OT practitioners provide interventions such as handwriting, sensory awareness, processing, gross and fine motor skills, and perceptual awareness to students who undergo OT. In this article, it is evident that there is a need for OT and that there is a need for the psychosocial factors to be addressed. This article is a pediatric article and portrays the rising research for psychosocial needs and that they are being and need addressed in occupational therapy today.
This study investigated the influence of the occupational therapy curriculum in Hong Kong on therapists' clinical reasoning styles using two groups of therpists to complete the study. Results showed that more experienced therapists use
conditional reasoning that considers the clients' needs, whereas new graduate therapists use procedural reasoning that focuses on clients' disabilities.The analysis of the occupational therapy curriculum indicated that it prepared the students with an equal emphasis on theoretical and clinical subjects and fieldwork practice. Also, the measurement tool used in this study is the COPM. This is an interesting article, because as a new grad coming into the field, it's interesting to see what is typically being used when it comes to clinical reasoning.

This study is an investigation of the attitudes of occupational therapy practitioners towards persons with disabilities using the Scale of Attitudes Toward Disabled Persons for measurement. The results indicated that they hold a very favorable attitude toward persons with disabilities, and that they believe that a negative attitude would adversely affect the therapeutic relationship. This article also discusses the ethics on this topic in detail and the importance of a relationship with disabled people as an OT professional.
