Blanche, E. (2010). Observations Based on Sensory Integration Theory. Pediatric Therapy Network. p. 1-44.

This workbook and DVD presents information on Observations Based on SI Theory for OT and other health professionals in a variety of settings and ages. It also provides therapists information on how to administer and interpret techniques to provide a structured non-standardized assessment of SI functions.

The DVD includes 2 parts of 30 minute segments each. Part I illustrates how to administrate 20+ observations of sensory motor responses and praxis functions that allow information into the patient's central nervous system. Part II provides Dr. Blanche's clinical reasoning of the patient's skills and behaviors during specific observations related to SI and praxis functions.

The workbook provides pictures of observations, norms, definitions, and references in support of the DVD presentations. Worksheets are also provided with an observation summary sheet that can be used in the clinic.
