    As occupational therapists working within an inpatient rehabilitation setting, the primary goal for our patients with multiple sclerosis is to reduce level or disability. The researchers in this article conducted a systematic review of the outcomes of interventions for those suffering from MS. Participants included sixty-six patients with progressive MS. Their level of impairment was measured using the Expanded Disability Status Scale and Functional Independence Measure (FIM). The researchers found that following inpatient stay, these individuals demonstrated a reduced disability rating.
