I found this article to be a very interesting read after working the past 11 weeks in a school where many of the children I work with on a daily basis have been diagnosed with either a medical or school-based diagnosis of ASD. I have only worked with younger children throughout this rotation, observing once in a middle school, so this independence curriculum that was used in the study gives a good perspective of what an OT may work on with older students in the school-based setting.
