This study is conducted to see whether or not a problem-based learning program given to a senior occupational therapy student can help with their clinical reasoning skills throughout fieldwork and/or future careers. The quasi-experimental design focused on 48 students who participated in a 5-week, 30 hour program that involved case-based tutorials. The PBL program was conducted the last 5 weeks of the occupational therapy program before students went on their Level II fieldwork. The student completed the Self-Assessment of Clinical Reflection and Reasoning (SACRR) as a pre-test/post-test score to asses the effectiveness of the program. In conclusion, the results suggest that a short and intensive course in PBL can significantly facilitate the development of student's clinical skills.
