The Indian Premier League has been an absolute run fest. Mammoth scores have been put up by teams over the years, where the batsmen have thrown the kitchen sink to outmanoeuvre a side. There's no better sight in world cricket than to see the white kookaburra fly deep into the stands. When it comes off consistently batsmen end up scoring heaps of runs and at a canter. DD find themselves in a flimsy state where one defeat can eliminate them. They now need to win at least 5 games of the remaining six, more convenient would be six wins in six. But considering their form, winning every game hereafter is an impossible task. However, they've got to hold their chin up, trust their players and do the basics right. RCB vs KKR: In the second half of the Super Sunday, the IPL action moves to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore for the RCB vs KKR clash. Both teams have had a slightly disappointing season so far. While RCB sit second from bottom with just two wins in six games, KKR have had a dip in form losing their last two matches after having three of their first four matches.

RCB vs MI: "The idea of redemption is always good, even if it means sacrifice or some difficult times". After 7 games, the 3-time IPL champions and the defending champions Mumbai Indians have plenty to ponder about. They've got to win every game hereafter to stand a chance of making it to the playoffs. A positive though has to be their impressive win against the Chennai Super Kings. Here's how the table can be summed up. CSK and SRH need only one win to confirm their playoff participation. KXIP are currently 3rd on the table with 10 points. They need a couple of victories to make it to the final four. Now, for the fourth spot, KKR, RR, MI and RCB have to do battle. The winner of RCB vs MI will be in the race for the top 4.

CSK vs DD: "Consistency isn't rocket science, it's responsibility". Chennai Super Kings like always have been consistent in this year's IPL as well. They're currently 2nd on the league table. A loss to Mumbai Indians in their previous game proved yet again that in the IPL, uncertainty is the norm. They take on DD in the 30th game of the IPL and this for the top spot on the league table. DD, on the other hand, after a resounding victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders will walk into this game with higher confidence and a hope that their last match display wasn't a chance or a coincidence. Shreyas Iyer played an absolute cracker of an innings in his first game as a skipper. Iyer's leadership also was mighty impressive, but he'll not let complacency settle in. The Mumbai lad will want to put his head down, take one game at a time and hope that all his captaincy decisions work in DD's favour. CSK vs DD, a crucial game for DD for an ascent up the table and for CSK a chance to get one step closer to yet another playoff qualification.

The bottom-placed Delhi take on the 4th placed KKR in the 26th fixture of the Indian Premier League. Gautam Gambhir has stepped down as Delhi's captain and the responsibility has been handed over to Shreyas Iyer. The left-hander hasn't had the best of starts to this season's IPL. A clear head, without the burden of captaincy, might fetch better results for Gambhir. New ideas, fresher approach and a stern learning. Iyer's maturity as a player will be tested. While it's a positive move, DD would like to win games and make it to the playoffs. The chances are slim but this is the IPL, where uncertainty is the norm. Delhi have managed only 2 points in 6 games and for a place in the top 4, they have to get their game plans spot on. DD vs KKR, it's redemption time for Delhi Daredevils.

CSK vs MI: Oh Captain! My captain! MS Dhoni has revived himself at the biggest stages of them all. Not that he'd lost any of his batting abilities, but there was an intangible scepticism hovering over his overburdened shoulders. He's dusted all of it nonchalantly as CSK find themselves yet again at the top of the ladder. The men in yellow have made winning in the final overs a habit. The team seems to have hit a fine combination and against a hapless MI, CSK will have their tails up. After playing a blinder in the previous game against the KXIP, MS Dhoni will look to replicate his batting form, although, he'd like to see his team through this time. If it were not for a sore back, Dhoni would have easily finished the game for CSK. The men in yellow move to their new home, Pune, courtesy a few political reasons. However, Dhoni is familiar with the conditions at Pune and against a pale looking Rajasthan, he'll certainly fancy his chances. After having played 4 games each, the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils find themselves in a familiar part of the table once again. The Sunrisers Hyderabad have slipped to the number 4 spot on the league table after getting beat by the KXIP. The 2016 champions won their first 3 games but were found wanting against Gayle's lethal onslaught. Bowling has been their major strength and against Punjab, the likes of Rashid Khan who seldom concedes runs was humbled by Chris Gayle's mighty hitting.

The RR vs MI game is a bottom half battle of the blues as Mumbai Indians travel to the Sawai Man Singh Stadium to take on Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai sit in 7th place with just 1 win from 4 games. However, it will be the Royals who will be more worried after losing their last two matches by big margins - 64 runs and 7 wickets. Mumbai, on the other hand, have the momentum having beaten RCB in their last encounter after losing 3 close games at the start of the tournament.

The IPL moves to the North after an enthralling weekend of cricketing action. Two teams who've been on either end of the league table are all set to lock horns. Delhi Daredevils are struggling at the bottom of the table with only 2 points in 5 games, while Kings XI have been in dreamland ever since the mighty Jamaican was included in their squad. They are placed 2nd on the table, only decimals away from the southern kings. Two new skippers, two brilliant students of the game and 2 massive points at stake. Moreso, for Kings XI who this year are certain to make it to the playoffs. It's DD vs KXIP, match number 22 at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

The last time Mumbai Indians lost their first three IPL games, they went on to win the league. However, this year the 3-time champions have had a bizarre run.
