AirAsia has confirmed that it will continue to offer cheap flights to Thailand and other destinations without introducing a fuel surcharge. The low-cost airline has opted to rely on increased passenger numbers and stronger marketing rather than re-introduce a charge to cover the growing cost of aviation fuel - the carrier originally removed the fuel surcharge in November 2008.
South Africa Airways (SAA) has launched special class fares on flights to South Africa from Australia. The special deals on flights will be on offer to passengers taking flights from a number of Australia cities.
