Meditation in schools - "edutopia", indeed. But how I would love to try it.
I think I could spend all summer vacation reading this website. Simply: Inspiration.
The best things about this educational blogging site: easy-to-use, no student emails required, total privacy, and every comment and post can reviewed by the teacher prior to publishing. Did I mention "easy-to-use"?
This is what got me started on student blogging. Fantastic advice - and great links. I especially recommend the "paper blogging lesson" link. A must-read for those thinking of having their students communicate with each other (in English!) through blogs.
Films are always motivating. Here the blog author presents short clips with some basic grammar focus suggestions and exercises. Note: many of the films are subtitled. Good for upper cycle of primary as well as secondary, all levels.
Good time-telling teaching/learning tool. It provides practice for "o'clock", "quarter past/to" and "half past". Students can drag & drop words to write the time shown, and receive feedback from the fat cat. Good for primary grades 1 - 3.
Great interactive site - can be used in classroom, computer room or study at home. American accent but British time-telling ("quarter past", not "quarter after"). Practices time-telling for up to 5-minute intervals. Step-by-step. Also provides quizzes and worksheets that can be personalized. For primary grades 1-4, or even up to 6th grade as a review.
