Sincere is a very interesting term it can be well used or Just what I call Semantic Jazz-I have installed Lijit on my weblogs and not being a Teche I have asked for help, from most applications asking for tech support is for the most part shaking hands with and empty glove-I am beginning to think that Geeks who add contact forms add them because they have nothing else to do and feel it makes them look like they care about their clients ,I have never been refused assistance of any kind from Lijit and I full well understand tech support is costly ! Mulberry ice cream Tuesday, July 14, 2009 by Dave Winer. The editorial team of InBerkeley.com had lunch today at Saul's in North Berkeley. I had a bowl of cold borscht with sour cream, and a toasted bagel with lox and cream cheese.   After lunch we all went down the block to Chez Panisse and had a Bastille Day special mulberry ice cream cone for $2.  

Presidential Attire      No, no, this isn't a rant on what the President chose to wear today for his speech in Warren.  (His uniform of white shirt and solid tie, no jacket, always gives him his desired air of industrious elegance.)  No, my concern here was with the attire of many of those who were lucky enough to have tickets to attend.      I'm all for America looking like its casual self.  And with most of the guests having to arrive several hours before the President's arrival, it meant a long, very warm day without a single cloud to provide a moment's shade.  There are also security realities which, as any air traveler knows, can lead you to pare down your wardrobe to a detector-friendly minimum.  And yet… it is the President.

June 26, 2009 API showcase: Linked Galaxy Sitting on such a powerful contextual API that returns semantic data is never easy for creative people. We announced a while ago that we output semantic data as part of our API results, meaning that we connect identified concepts to Linked Data cloud. Databases that we link to include Freebase, Semantic CrunchBase and DBpedia. In order to explore one of the possibilities that this brings to developers, @andraz created Linked Galaxy project. Linked Galaxy is a tool that uses semantic entities that were identified by Zemanta in given text and connects it to DBpedia and Freebase by following connections between them. This way it's possible to uncover underlying connections between the terms that might not be otherwise obvious to the writer. They are presented in a graph, making it easy to quickly scan the output. City Councilwoman Monica Conyers is only the latest public official to summon the Almighty when the going gets tough. On Tuesday, when it became clear the feds were closing in on Conyers, she described herself to viewers of her weekly TV show as "a child of God," and told viewers "if you're not praying for me, then you're just adding to the problem." Then she added: "All these things that are going on right now ... I believe in my heart that God will deliver me from them." C'mon, councilwoman. God is not going to help with a federal bribery rap. God doesn't work that way. Just ask Kwame Kilpatrick. Nobody in memory called on God as often as the disgraced mayor. And the number of his heavenly shout-outs seemed to increase last year as the pressure grew greater. When Kilpatrick was in trouble and refusing to resign, he mentioned God so much you'd have thought He was deputy mayor. And in the end, God did not help Kilpatrick. He had to resign, go to jail, forfeit his law license, move to Texas, rent a house in a fancy suburb and buy an Escalade.
