"Universities house an enormous amount of information and their libraries are often the center of it all. You don't have to be affiliated with any university to take advantage of some of what they have to offer. From digital archives, to religious studies, to national libraries, these university libraries from around the world have plenty of information for you. There are many resources for designers as well. Although this is mainly a blog that caters to designers and artists I have decided to include many other libraries for all to enjoy."

The Monterey Institute for Technology and Education (MITE) is an educational non-profit committed to improving access to education. This library of open educational resources features course materials for seven Advanced Placement (AP) courses from MITE. These high school level materials are available for free download.

The Lincoln Archives Digital Project started in 2002 with a simple idea for a vast undertaking: to digitize all federal records that exist from the administration of Abraham Lincoln. Over 6,000 documents are currently online and over half a million documents are scanned and in the process of being placed online. People from around the world now have access to the documents of Abraham Lincoln's administration, including Civil War records.
