A proximity sensor frequently emits an electromagnetic field or even a beam of electromagnetic radiation (infrared, for example ), and search for changes in the specialty or input sign. The object being felt is frequently known as the proximity detector's target. Different proximity detector targets demand various detectors. By way of instance, a capacitive proximity detector or photoelectric sensor may be acceptable for a plastic goal; an inductive proximity sensor consistently needs a metallic target. Proximity sensors may have a higher reliability and long life due to the lack of mechanical components and too little physical connection between the detector and the sensed object. Proximity detectors can also be utilized in machine vibration tracking to assess the variation in space between a rotating shaft and its support posture. This is normal in large steam turbines, compressors, and motors which use sleeve-type bearings. International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60947-5-2 defines the technical aspects of proximity detectors. A proximity detector corrected to a very short variety is frequently utilized as a touch change.

Proximity sensor is the general name of the sensor which replaces the contact detection method such as limit switch and is used for detection without touching the detection object. Can detect the object's moving information and existence information into electrical signals.Among the detection methods for electrical signals, the detection methods include eddy current generated in the metal body of the detection object caused by electromagnetic induction, capacity change of the electrical signal caused by the proximity of the detection body, sharp stone and guiding switch.

Detection principle of inductive proximity sensor:

The magnetic loss caused by eddy current on the conductor surface is detected by the influence of external magnetic field. The way in which an ac magnetic field is generated in the detection coil and the impedance changes caused by the eddy current generated by the metal body of the body are detected.

In addition, as an alternative, there are aluminum detection sensors that detect the frequency phase component, and all-metal sensors that detect only the impedance changing component through the working coil.

On the surface of one side of the detection body and one side of the sensor, the state of the transformer occurs.
