Stoke Mandeville Stadium has hosted the one of ten regional Boccia competitions taking place this month across England. The competition saw four teams from the Central Region Championships competing as part of the Lord Tavener's Under 19's Boccia Programme. Schools from 30 counties competed to qualify, and the successful four teams who contended were Buckingham Bee's Boccia Team, Arbour Vale from Berkshire and two teams from Slated Row from Buckinghamshire The competition was only for under 19's with physical disabilities, and the national finals will be held on the 21st March 2013.

To coincide with this year's Drowning Prevention Week Buckinghamshire venue , Stoke Mandeville Stadium, is offering a free children's taster session in lifeguarding and rescue techniques and incorporating elements of the water safety code into the wh. June 2013

20th August 2013 On Saturday 7th September, Buckinghamshire venue, Stoke Mandeville Stadium is celebrating one year since the closing of the Paralympic Games by hosting a free Sports Day for the local community. To mark this occasion, the Stadium is presenting the Paralympic Flame Lighting Cauldron along with one of the torches used in the Paralympic Torch Relay.
