India, China and Russia on Thursday held their first round of consultation on Asia-Pacific Affairs which included regional security architecture, coordination within regional and multilateral fora, anti-terrorism and other regional issues.

KARACHI: An anti terrorism court (ATC) Monday sentenced an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to jail for 19 years, Samaa reported. Chaudhry Shujaat, the convicted MQM activist, was charged with criminal possession of weapons and explosive material. Last year the government launched a major crackdown against criminal elements in the largest city of the country.

Four Almirante Padilla Class frigates designed and built by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW) are in service with the Colombian Navy. The frigates are used to conduct missions such as anti-piracy, anti-smuggling and counter-terrorism. They are also deployed in patrol missions across Caribbean and Pacific waters.
