Now there is NO BAN ON THE MATERIAL MADE FROM THERMOCOL like Disposable kitchenware, Thermocol Cups and Plates etc. Earlier, A complete ban would be imposed on manufacturing, stocking, distribution, reuse, selling and using polythene (plastic) carry bags and thermocol material that can be used only once. But now the Punjab Government has taken back Ban on One time use Thermocol Materials like Thermocol Cups, Thermocol Plates etc. Now there is no ban on manufacturing, stocking, distribution, reuse, selling and using of one time use Termocol Disposable Kitchenware products in Punjab as per notification and clarification issued by Punjab Government. While a complete ban imposed on polythene (plastic) carry bags will continues in Urban Areas of Punjab, in all the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats.
